A DIAGNOSTIC COMPANY with multiple centers in mainland Tanzania, intends to hire qualified, energetic, dynamic and proactive Tanzanians to fill in the following vacant positions: 



• Holder of BSc in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution, 

• Ability to work without close supervision, 

• Knowledge of basic project management principles, relevant to healthcare settings, medical equipment, and information system implementation. 

• Ability to interpret relevant codes, regulations, guidelines, and standards, to ensure compliance with medical requirements. 

• Ability to keep abreast of changes in technology & utilize the information to solve biomedical engineering problems. 

• Knowledge of medical technology concepts related to computer based medical systems, networking protocols, and information security.

• Must be proficient in spoken and written English 

• Fresh Graduates – Work experience not required 


• Prepare capital asset and infrastructure planning for medical equipment, approve new equipment, and ensure that they meet the required regulations. 

• Conduct Pre- Installation work, approves new equipment by conducting tests, establish, adjust, calibrate and test performance, ensures adherence to codes and modifications. 

• Install and commission medical equipment, such as CT Scans, ultrasound equipment, X-ray machines, patient monitors, ventilators etc. 

• Support implementation and routine preventive maintenance schedules, conduct tests, troubleshoots, repairs malfunctions and emergency breakdowns to ensure 100% uptime for complex medical equipment. 

• Evaluate and maintain all equipment purchase and service contracts between the company and suppliers. 

• Provide technical training sessions to other healthcare staff on equipment care and operation, safety and compliance to ensure safe operations. 

• Ensure availability of technical supplies by maintain equipment inventory stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of goods. 

• Communicate and work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including manufacturers, technical and professional staff at various levels of the company. 

• Prepare reports by analyzing and collecting data and trends on all maintenance and repair. • Keep patient information confidential. 

• Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor. 



• Holder of Diploma in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution. 

• Holder of a three years Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Biomedical Engineering. 

• Must be proficient in spoken and written English. 

• Fresh Graduates – Work experience not required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assist higher level technicians to repair, install, calibrate, and maintain a range of general biomedical/ clinical equipment, e.g., replace components, conduct tests readings, and wire circuits based on specific instructions. 

• Conduct preventative maintenance and electrical equipment safety testing. 

• Implement minor repairs on medical electronic equipment. 

• Maintain appropriate records of repairs and preventative maintenance. 

• Maintains a safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.
